Short bio — ~50 words

Nancy Coury is a veteran Catholic school educator from Bay Village, Ohio with 30+ years of classroom experience teaching phonics and early literacy. Her Nani's Window picture book series — including Book 1, Jack's Window — is inspired by her six grandchildren and gives 10% of every sale to charity.

Long bio — ~150 words

Nancy Coury spent more than 30 years teaching phonics and early literacy in Catholic schools in the Bay Village, Ohio area, where she developed a deep understanding of how young readers build confidence through rhythm, rhyme, and real-world observation. Inspired by her six grandchildren — Jack, Brynn, Liam, Declan, Daris, and Jojo — she created the Nani's Window picture book series to share the classroom techniques that worked for her students with families everywhere.

Book 1, Jack's Window, follows young Jack as he looks out his window and discovers letters, sounds, and the quiet wonder of a grandmother's love. Each book in the six-book series is named for one grandchild. Nancy is a member of St. Raphael Parish in Bay Village; 10% of every sale supports St. Aloysius–St. Agatha School in Cleveland through the parish partnership. Learn more at jackswindow.com.

Mission & Vision

"Nancy's dream was simple yet profound: to make learning joyful for every child, especially those who struggle to be understood."

"Nancy believed reading isn't just about learning words — it's about hearing them, feeling them, and finding your own voice in the world."

That vision lives in every page of Jack's Window. And it extends beyond the book: 10% of every sale supports St. Aloysius–St. Agatha School in Cleveland — a 120-year-old PK–8 Catholic school in the Glenville neighborhood — through the St. Raphael parish partnership. Our launch goal is 3,000 copies sold, which would deliver $4,500 to the school. Buying one copy, giving one as a gift, or sharing this page all move that number forward.
